CNS and the Toyota Texas Bass Classic Posted by: Step-N-Wolf

Hey Shooters!  We're calling for some help!

You heard about the Toyota Texas Bass Classic that we have committed the chapter to help with the parking.  It's a great deal!  For CNS Charities, we are getting $1 per car parked, and this could be $7000 or more!  In addition, they are giving us a booth for selling raffle tickets, and they expect 30,000 people to attend the weekend event.  That's a lot of potential ticket sales!

But... we need to fill 6 different parking shifts with 25 people each, or we don't get the money.  Since the shifts overlap, you can't work a double shift (though you can work each of the two days if you want). We must have the required 75 volunteers all working during the 11-4 overlap.

Here's the deal: the event is October 2 and 3 (Saturday and Sunday).  There are 6 shifts as outlined below.  Each volunteer gets two tickets to come back for one of the concerts they are having (2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday).  You just have to point at cars, since there is a contracted company who is handling water, golf carts, striping, etc.

Where is it?  At the Montgomery County Fairgrounds.

When is it?  October 2 and 3.

A big thanks to those who signed up at the chapter meeting, but here are the shifts that need some more volunteers and how many:

Saturday, October 2

1.  Shift 1 - 9 AM to 4 PM.
Coordinator: Mike "Rat" Ratliff
Volunteers needed: zero!

2.  Shift 2 - 11 AM to 6 PM
Coordinator: John "Bigfoot" Walling
Volunteers needed: 3-4

3.  Shift 3 - 1 PM to 7 PM
Coordinator: Ray "Bulldude" Nations
Volunteers needed: 3-4

Sunday, October 3
4.  Shift 4 - 9 AM to 4 PM
Coordinator: Reggie "Mafia Don" Lewis
Volunteers needed 3-4

5.  Shift 5 - 11 AM to 6 PM
Coordinator: Ray "Bulldude" Nations
Volunteers needed: 8-10

6.  Shift 6 - 1 PM to 7 PM
Coordinator: Chris "Goldy" Goldstein
Volunteers needed: 8-10

If you've already volunteered, your shift coordinator will get in touch with you.

If you can fill one of the above slots, please post here, or send a note to Chris or me at either director@cutnshoothog.org or asstdir@cutnshoothog.org.  Be sure to include which shift you want to work, your phone number and e-mail address.

Check the message board for updates and instructions.  There will be an organizational meeting immediately following the Sept chapter meeting.

Thanks for stepping up, and this is certain to be a fun time, as well as making us a ton of money!
