May HOG Calling

Published 05/05/2009

Hey Cut-N-Shoot!

Here's the latest lineup of what is coming your way soon.

May Howls - Lupe Tortilla, 19437 I-45 South in Shenandoah

May 8th - Excel to Ride.  This is the date to give the kids from Austin Elementary a "ride" on your bike for all their hard work throughout the year. If you've never participated is it worth the ride. There are approximately 307 kids that made their goals this year so we will need as many of you as possible to attend.

Please bring an extra helmet for your "rider" to wear while on the bike.

Check your helmet stickers and vest patches.  We need your "Sunday best" for the kids.

Meet at the Texan Harley-Davidson parking lot at 7:15 a.m. Terri Roberts will have coffee and danish for you and then it is KSU at 7:45 a.m. SHARP. We will ride to the Cut N Shoot Post Office and arrive by 8:00 a.m. for a group photo and leave at approximately 8:15 a.m. with a police escort to the school.  We will arrive at Austin Elementary by 8:30 a.m.

May 9th - Chapter Meeting.  American Legion Hall in Willis.  Come early to visit, pick up information, and see what is new on the merchandise table.

May 9th - Ladies of Harley and Texan Harley Davidson Spring Fashion Show - The Fashion Show will be held after the Chapter Meeting on Saturday, May 9, at Texan Harley-Davidson from Noon until it's over.  Whether your a "model" or a "spectator", the fashion shows are always fun.  This is a great way to see the new collection and pick up a Mother's Day gift or just something for yourself.  If you have never been to one of Texan's Fashion Shows, it is not your run of the mill stuffed shirt event, unless your talking about some dollar bills that get strategically placed on/in some of the outfits.  Stop in for some real fun and good food.

May 10th - The New Member/Group Riding Orientation has been cancelled since it is Mother's Day.

May 14th - Texan Harley Davidson Tech Talk at Texan HD, beginning at 6:00 PM.  This informative session is for the guys, so bring your questions and play stump the technician.  The ladies, even though banned from the man cave, gather and make our own fun.

May 15th - Texan Harley Davidson Powder Puff Mechanics at Texan HD, beginning at 6:00 PM.  This time the ladies get to ask the technican questions and learn some great tips.  The guys are welcome and will find their own source of entertainment.

May 29th -31st  is the LOH Ride to Kerrville.  Tama has a 3 day trip planned with great routes and time to explore the Hill Country.  The room block has been filled, but Tama was told by Amy, that the hotel will honor the block cost as long as there are rooms available.  So, if you don't have a room, call Amy and see what she can do for you.  Gates open at Texan at 7:45 am and last bike out at 9:00 AM.  Bring your sunscreen and bathing suits.

May 31st - EOM If you can't make the Kerrville Ride, then join Bubba Womack for a great route to Schluenberg for lunch at Frank's.  Gates open at Texan HD at 7:45 am and last bike out at 9:00 am.

Don't forget that Texan has resumed their summer cook outs.  Every Saturday, Terri and her crew serve lunch.

Ride Safe,
Your CNS Team

Thank You!

I'm back.... !

Just wanted to thank all of you for the thoughts, prayers, & poems.  I got on the web-site today to post something else and couldn't get any further than the kind messages and lost my complete train of thought.  Brian was able to come home Saturday afternoon to our now make shift hospital and will be there till the 16th and at that point will have another surgery on his leg.  Although his injuries are severe I am thankful that is all we are having to deal with.  I am back at work today but will have kind of an awkward schedule for a while but I look forward to getting back into the swing of things and seeing all of your smiling faces very soon.

Thanks agin for your support, you have no idea how great that made me feel  .

Texan's MVP Launch Party

Published 03/24/2009

Just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you who attended our MVP Launch Party on Thursday the 12th and Saturday the 14th.  What a party, and the programs not shabby either!  I also wanted to let those of you know that weren't able to get by that it wasn't a one weekend opportunity so you can still sign up.  Terri & I attended HOWL last Wednesday and a few members were under that impression so I apologize for the mis-communication.

I look forward to some more great parties, rides, and whatever else the future holds!
